Agenda Watch is a project of Big Local News, based at Stanford University. Agenda Watch collects local government agendas and minutes in support of journalism and research. By creating an account with Agenda Watch, you agree to the following terms & conditions. Upon acceptance, you may set alerts related to keywords, geographies, or agencies using our Service. General Terms

If you accept these Terms and continue to use Agenda Watch Services on behalf of an organization, you warrant that you are authorized to do so. The organization agrees to hold harmless and indemnify Agenda Watch and its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from claims arising from use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

You may use Agenda Watch Services only in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws. You warrant that you will not use the Services for unlawful or prohibited purposes, nor in a way that could damage, disable, or impair the platform.

Users who violate these Terms may have their access suspended or terminated at Agenda Watch’s discretion.

License and Access

Agenda Watch grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Services. This license does not include resale or commercial use; data mining; copying account information for competing services; or any automated extraction.

Trademarks

Agenda Watch retains all rights to its trademarks, logos, and brand materials. Third-party logos appearing in the Service remain the property of their respective owners.

Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password, and for all activities that occur under your credentials.

Payments

For bulk or programmatic document access, you may enroll in the Big Local News Data+ program. The standard Agenda Watch alerting platform remains free to use in support of local journalism.

User Generated Content

You are solely responsible for any content you publish or transmit using the Service. Public content may be crawled and indexed by search engines. Do not remove copyright notices or disable copy-protection features on any documents.

You understand that Agenda Watch collects public documents from local governments and makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy or completeness of their content.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Agenda Watch and its affiliates against losses or claims arising from violations of these Terms or use of the Services.

Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for commercial misuse or at your request. Termination includes deletion of your account information and access to the Services.

Waiver and Severability

Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver. If any part of these Terms is found invalid, the remainder remains in effect.

Applicable Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

By using the platform, you acknowledge that these Terms constitute the complete agreement between you and Agenda Watch.

When you use the platform or communicate with us electronically, you consent to receiving electronic communications. Your electronic submissions constitute your agreement and intent to be bound.

Agenda Watch does not sell user data. Any analytics is solely for improving the platform. We track usage to enhance features and understand user needs.
